DENVER (KDVR) — An Aurora homeowner shot an alleged burglar, sending him to the hospital with life-threatening injuries early Monday morning.
Just before 5 a.m., the Aurora Police Department said a homeowner on North Moline Street was alerted to a man allegedly breaking into his detached garage. The area is a few blocks from Nome Park and Aurora Central High School.
Police said the homeowner confronted the man, and then the shooting occurred. The man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police said there was no known relationship between the homeowner and the man. Detectives are on the scene investigating the shooting, but no one is in custody at this point.
