Kathie Lee Gifford is getting ready for even more grandma duties.
After Gifford’s son Cody Gifford and his wife, Erika, announced they are expecting their third child, the couple has confirmed it is a baby girl. The exciting news, which was shared on Instagram in a Reel by Erika on Friday, May 16, had the whole family celebrating.
“I have carried two, now three little lives within me,” she started off her caption. She continued to describe the joy of motherhood, before writing. “I get to do it all again—with you. Our precious, precious baby girl! I cannot wait to be your mama. You’re already so loved little DAUGHTER ????.”
The video featured a montage of moments with her two boys, whom she also shares with Cody. At the end, “Baby #3” is written in the sand on the beach. It then cuts to the message, “it’s a girl,” and one of her sons walking on the sand.

Kathie Lee, 71, couldn’t contain her excitement either, expressing her joy in the comments section.
"My darling daughter in love. This has been a very hard secret to keep! But now we can share it with the world!” she wrote, before gushing about Erika. “Many will be praying for you until she comes into this world and smiles at us and everything changes! I love you.”
The pregnancy was originally announced on May 5 with another Reel shared to Instagram. Once again, the video featured clips of the family, ending with a close up of a cake that read, “baby #3 loading.” She captioned that post, “✨Gifford, party of cinco ?? Our little blessing on the way was prayed for, dreamed of, and is already so deeply loved.”
Kathie Lee also referenced her joy for the “secret” being out in the comments, writing, in part, “I am beyond filled with joy that this magnificent secret is finally out! “
Cody, 35, and Erika’s growing family also includes their sons Frankie, 3, and Ford, 18 months, with their baby girl set to join in the fall.
