Bhadrak: The Odisha Vigilance today apprehended Ashok Kumar Das, Junior Engineer of Basudevpur Block, Bhadrak while accepting a bribe of Rs. 10,000.
The engineer was caught red-handed demanding and accepting the bribe from a contractor to facilitate the release of pending bills for works executed by the contractor.
In this connection, Balasore Vigilance PS Case No 4/2025, U/s-7PC (Amendment)Act , 2018 has been registered. The iinvestigation is in progress, informed the Vigilance.
