BASKETBALL star Jarred Shaw could face the death penalty over allegations he tried to smuggle drugs into Indonesia.
Cops raided the athlete’s home near Jakarta and uncovered cannabis candies as part of their probe.
Investigators are probing a tip-off that the athlete, 34, received a package from Thailand, per CBS News.
He was arrested at the Soekarno-Hatta airport on May 7.
Shaw reportedly shouted “help, help” as he was being handcuffed, according to footage circulating on social media.
Cops have warned Shaw could face life in prison or be sentenced to the death penalty if he’s convicted.
Shaw previously played college basketball at Oklahoma State and Utah State.
He was drafted by the Santa Cruz Warriors in the 2015 NBA Developmental League draft.
He was playing in the Indonesian basketball league and has since been suspended.
