Salma Hayek Pinault is a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl — whether she believes it or not.
“It’s so bizarre!” Hayek Pinault said in the 2025 Swimsuit Issue's cover story published Tuesday. “I’m nearly 60! At this stage, it wouldn’t have crossed my mind."

“It was impossible for me to meet the standards of beauty of the ’90s — skinny and tall," she said. "No matter how skinny I was going to get, I was always going to be curvy. I can’t stretch my legs! I was never going to be in that club.”
Despite any insecurities she may have had, Hayek Pinault's mindset to fitness and health is refreshingly more mental than physical. She's "never done weights" and relies on meditation.
“I meditate for a long time. That’s my secret. It’s the opposite of no pain, no gain."
And when it comes to diet, restriction is not her thing.
“I can only do it for so long,” she admitted. "I don’t do well with discipline and routine.”

However, in preparation for the shoot she told the outlet that she started using ankle weights and monitored her portion sizes and carb intake. She's also an ambassador for skincare company Merz Aesthetics.
Hayek Pinault is one of four cover girls for the 2025 issue. She shares the title with Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles and models Olivia Dune and Laura Chan.
