CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Authorities have closed down the intersection of Woodlawn Road and Park Road while they investigate a fatal accident that happened Friday afternoon.
The incident occurred near the 7-Eleven store at the busy crossroads, where a collision between a bicycle and a tractor-trailer resulted in the cyclist dying at the scene.
Authorities have not released the identity of the person who was killed, and it’s unclear what exactly led to the crash.
CMPD is working to piece together what happened and has asked drivers to avoid the area.
