COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- One person is dead and another injured after a shooting in northeast Columbus Wednesday night.
According to a Columbus police, the shooting happened in the 2500 block of Mock Road at approximately 9:39 p.m. The shooting was reported in the Mock Park area.
The victims, both women, got in a vehicle and drove nearly two miles northwest before they were found at the intersection of Minnesota Avenue and Joyce Avenue. Three other individuals were in the car, including two juveniles, but they were not injured.
One woman, later identified as 18-year-old Au'jai Davenport, was taken to Grant Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead at 10:05 p.m. A second woman was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive her injuries.
