It is reported that the UK has agreed to give some concessions on food and agriculture imports from the US in exchange for lower tariffs on autos. The details of the exchange are still unclear as of yet, according to the report.
It's not so much a big deal for the US but for the UK at least, some 18% of its car exports do go to the US. As for the flip side, it is one thing to offer a concession allowing for more agriculture imports. But the issue here is that supposedly a lot of US produce do not even meet UK regulation standards. So, how will that be changed?
