THE Israeli embassy was the target of a suspected Iranian terror plot that was foiled at the last minute, according to reports.
The embassy in Kensington, west London, is thought to be at the centre of the plot which sparked a major counter-terrorism operation last week.
Police arrested five men, including four Iranians, and said they had identified a “specific” target – but would not reveal where it was.
Now, a report in The Times suggests it was the Israeli embassy.
Last Saturday, footage emerged of armed counter terrorism officers swooped on a house in Rochdale, Manchester, later leading out a shirtless man.
It emerged that one of the suspects had “close links” to the Iranian regime – and police were reportedly joined by elite SAS soldeirs.
