Arizona Diamondbacks hitters put up two straight crooked innings at the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday, with Geraldo Perdomo bookending the run.
After Garrett Hampson became the first Diamondback on base with a walk in the third inning, Perdomo turned things chaotic with an RBI double after Jose Herrera singled and stole second.
Corbin Carroll turned the next pitch, an 80 mph changeup, into a base hit, sending Herrera and Perdomo — even with his stumble while rounding third — home for a 3-1 lead.

Josh Naylor and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. went down on five pitches before a Tim Tawa single and Garrett Hampson walk turned into two runs on a Herrera double. It gave Herrera his second multi-hit game of the season and first multi-RBI game since April 2023.
Perdomo added more chaos by turning a two-strike count into an infield single that allowed Herrera to score on a misplay. He then stole second and third to get sent home by Carroll on a base hit to end the day of Phillies starter Ranger Suarez.
Prior to the chaos, Suarez sat down the first seven Diamondbacks he faced. It was his season debut after starting the season on the IL with a back injury.
After the first out of the third inning, the Phillies had a 73.8% chance of winning, per ESPN Analytics. That number shot the other way to 91% in favor of Arizona by the end of the fourth as it carried a 7-2 lead.
