The series is heading back to Winnipeg.
With a resounding 5-2 Game 6 win on Friday, the St. Louis Blues forced a win-or-go-home Game 7 against the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday.
Defenceman Philip Broberg opened the scoring for the Blues in the first period and the Jets’ first attempt to tie the game was overturned following a successful offside challenge.
Cole Perfetti did eventually tie the game for the Jets in the second period, but that was quickly negated with a four-goal outburst by the Blues in just over six minutes of play.
This is the third time this series that Hart-nominated goalie Connor Hellebuyck got the pull as his road-game woes continue this post-season. Backup Eric Comrie replaced Hellebuyck in the final frame and stopped all shots he faced.
More to come.
