A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder in a Sunday double shooting in Aurora, police said.
Brandon Sutton is accused of shooting two men in the 15000 block of East Mississippi Avenue at about 2:15 a.m. Sunday, according to a news release from the Aurora Police Department.
Paramedics took both men to the hospital, where one later died from his injuries. He will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
The second man is expected to survive, police said.
Investigators believe Sutton knew the two victims but haven’t released how they knew each other or what led up to the shooting.
Sutton has not yet been charged in Arapahoe County District Court and is scheduled to appear for a filing of charges hearing on Thursday.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
