Finney had been a Class of 2027 prospect, but reclassified to the Class of 2026 in March. On the 247Sports Composite, Finney is rated 4-stars, the No. 7 cornerback, No. 10 player in the state of California and No. 54 prospect overall for 2026.
As one would expect, Finney drew interest from coast to coast. He has picked up offers from 27 programs, including Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Penn State, Tennessee, UCLA, Texas, Washington and Texas A&M.
