Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) fast bowler Mayank Yadav picked up the wicket of Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Hardik Pandya in the ongoing IPL 2025 clash at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday, April 27. The tearaway fast bowler bamboozled the all-rounder and bowled him through the gate in the crucial match.
Mayank Yadav was brought into the playing XI, replacing Shardul Thakur, who had taken only one wicket across his last three matches in IPL 2025. Shardul has picked up 12 wickets in nine games this season. Meanwhile, Mayank took seven wickets in four matches at an impressive economy rate of 6.98 last year.

The incident took place on the first ball of the 16th over in the Mumbai Indians. Mayank bowled a good-length delivery that tailed back in towards the batter, and the ball went through bat and pad. It just shaved the leg bail as Pandya aimed to drive straight but missed the ball completely.
Hardik was dismissed after scoring 5 runs off 7 balls, leaving the team 157/5. It was also Mayank’s second scalp of IPL 2025. Earlie,r he managed to pick up the wicket of Rohit Sharma in the third over of the innings.
