One of the most exciting events in the calendar is upon us as the 2025 edition of The London Marathon gets underway. More than 50,000 runners will race across the capital's pavements and follow the famous route from Greenwich to The Mall – and there are plenty of celebrities taking part this year. Harry Judd, Alexandra Burke, Coronation Street's Kimberly Hart-Simpsonm, Emmerdale's Tony Audenshaw and EastEnders' Adam Woodyatt are just a few of the famous faces participating this time around. Four-time winner Eliud Kipchoge will return to London for the first time since 2020 and attempt to secure a fifth victory, while in the women's race, the likes of Olympic champion Sifan Hassan and Tigst Assefa, the women's marathon world record-holder, will be in action. Debuts for Olympic triathlon champion Alex Yee and European medallist Eilish McColgan mean there is plenty of British interest as well.
