CITRUS HEIGHTS – Police in Citrus Heights said a homicide investigation is underway after an injured woman was dropped off at a fire station Thursday morning.
Officials said a person who knew the victim told firefighters there was a woman who was injured in the car after arriving at Sacramento Metro's Fire Station 21 on Greenback Lane around 10:15 a.m.
Crews provided aid to the woman and she was taken to the hospital, officials said. Police said the woman died and a homicide investigation is underway.
Police said the woman's death is being investigated as a homicide, but no other information was available at this time.
