Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay is speaking out against injustice on-screen and off.
The actress took to Instagram late on Wednesday, April 23, with a direct pledge after news broke that the U.S. Justice Department's Office of Justice Programs had reportedly canceled 365 grants late on Tuesday, affecting everything from law enforcement officers' mental health support to crime victims, at-risk youth, and hate-crime reporting.
"I have spent decades holding space and advocating for survivors of sexual and domestic violence," she wrote alongside a screenshot of a Reuters article. "News reports of funding cuts across Justice Department programs that I have long supported breaks my heart — for survivors, for law enforcement, and for everyone working to create a safer and more just America."
"Know that I will never stop fighting for all of us," she pledged.
