Utz Cheese Balls are getting two "bold" new flavor additions this spring, one of which is thanks to a new collaboration.
The century-old brand recently announced it teamed up with Mike's Hot Honey again for a limited-edition flavor of a different fan-favorite item following the success of Utz Mike's Hot Honey Chips (which also has an Extra Hot variety) and Utz Mixed Mini Pretzels, Mike's Hot Honey.

Beginning this month, a new variety of its cheese-flavored puffed corn snacks are headed to shelves: Utz Cheese Pizza Mike’s Hot Honey Cheese Balls. According to a press release, the third installment in the companies' ongoing collaboration "brings the beloved sweet-heat flavor profile to Utz's iconic Cheese Balls format."
"The flavor combination originated from our roots as a pizza topping, when we first discovered how perfectly our hot honey pairs with pizza," Mike Kurtz, founder of Mike's Hot Honey, said in a statement. "After the success of our potato chip and pretzel collaborations over the past two years, this was a natural evolution that creates a truly unique snacking experience."
Utz is also releasing a Red Hot Cheese Balls flavor, which the brand described as a "bold" spinoff that "brings a fiery kick to the classic Cheese Ball."
The two new flavors will be available nationwide from now until October, or while supplies last, at most major retailers that already stock the brand (including Walmart, Kroger, Harris Teeter, as well as Amazon). Shoppers should keep an eye out for its re-designed 14.5-ounce barrel, said to deliver a "fresh new look" in the "familiar size that fans know and love."
