A 6-year-old boy was airlifted to the hospital after being struck by a truck in Ukiah recently, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to the CHP, a 2006 Toyota pickup truck was heading west on Chablis Drive around 6:15 p.m. April 18 when a “six-year-old boy riding a bicycle entered the direct path of the truck” at the intersection of Sauterne Place.
When the bicycle and the truck collided, the CHP reports that the boy suffered major injuries and was airlifted to U.C. Medical Center in Davis for medical treatment.
The CHP reports that impairment by either drugs or alcohol is “not believed to have been a factor in this crash,” which is under investigation.
The CHP requests that “anyone with information regarding the collision call its Ukiah Office at 707-467-4420.”
