DENVER (KDVR) — A shelter-in-place has been issued for a Jefferson County neighborhood Monday morning.
At about 6 a.m., a Lookout Alert was sent to residents in the 8000 block of West Star Avenue to shelter in place while police conducted a planned warrant. The area is in Littleton in the Marina Pointe neighborhood near Chatfield Reservoir.
According to the alert, "There is an active threat to public safety."
Residents in that area are asked to stay inside, lock all doors and windows, close the blinds and move away from exterior walls.
