CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- One person is dead after being struck by a train in southwest Charlotte, according to Medic.
Around 1 p.m., officials responded to the scene at Archdale Drive and Old Pineville Road. That's near the Archdale Station of the CATS Blue Line, but the light rail wasn't involved, according to a Queen City News photojournalist at the scene.
The light rail runs above another set of tracks where the crash happened involving a freight train. Medic reported one person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not said what led to the crash.
