LEE Corso is officially retiring from ESPN College GameDay.
The legendary college football broadcaster has spent 38 years on the program.
Corso is 89 years old and would turn 90 at the beginning of the 2025 college football season.
The official College GameDay X account posted a thank you message for Corso on Thursday morning.
“After 38 incredible years, Lee Corso is retiring,” the account wrote.
“For multiple generations, Coach has been the face of our Saturday mornings and the sport we love.
“Our friend, our coach, our heart … LC, you will forever be a College GameDay legend!”
College football fans shared an outpouring of support for Corso on social media following the announcement.
“The CFB world is forever grateful for you Lee,” one fan said.
“All time great. Hope he enjoys retirement. We should all be so lucky,” another fan said.
“We’ll miss you Coach!” a third fan said.
