DENVER (KDVR) — A juvenile girl was taken to a hospital after a stabbing incident at the Aurora Science and Tech Middle School, according to the Aurora Police Department.
Police said that two girls got into a dispute, which escalated, and one of the girls stabbed the other.
The victim of the stabbing was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries, and the stabbing suspect has been detained.
The middle school campus is currently on a secure perimeter. It is not known if the high school campus, which shares facilities, is also on a secure perimeter.
In a statement to FOX31, a DSST Public Schools official confirmed that the two girls are students of the middle school and stated that both students are safe, and we are closely following all necessary safety procedures and the guidance of law enforcement and APS Safety and Security.
