Ukiah Unified School District proudly announced the March Students of the Month at a special ceremony held at Ukiah High School on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. Principals recognized 51 students from across the district’s 11 schools, highlighting their academic achievements and social-emotional growth with family members and the school community in attendance.
Superintendent Deb Kubin hosted the ceremony, introducing each school’s principal to present their selected students. Teachers nominate students based on academic dedication, leadership, and social-emotional skills, and principals shared thoughtful comments from nominating teachers about each student’s outstanding qualities.
“Each month, our students remind us what’s possible with passion, perseverance, and purpose,” said Superintendent Kubin. “Their achievements are more than personal milestones – they’re moments that uplift our entire school communities. We celebrate their success with pride and thank the families, educators, and community partners who help light the way.”
Each student received awards and special gifts from program sponsors in recognition of their achievements. The event was recorded and is available for viewing on the Ukiah Unified YouTube channel.
