Interstate 25 is closed in both directions near Mead for police activity and safety concerns, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
Northbound and southbound I-25 was closed near exit 245 for Mead and Colorado 66 as of 6:12 p.m. Multiple drivers reported standstill traffic on the Waze app, according to CDOT.
The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office could not immediately be reached for comment.
