UNION COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- One person was taken to a hospital after a car crashed into a Union County school early Monday morning, according to the Wesley Chapel Fire Department.
Around 12:30 a.m., crews responded to a vehicle fire in the parking lot of Union Day School in Weddington. When they arrived, they saw a single vehicle on fire next to the school building.
Officials said this appeared to be the result of a crash because there were marks on the road towards the building. The call was then upgraded to a structure fire response.
