A 38-year-old man was rescued on Saturday after plunging 20 feet off a cliff, Laguna Beach lifeguards said.
The man did not sustain life-threatening injuries, the lifeguards said on Instagram.
Laguna Beach Fire Department paramedics treated the man on site, and a hoist rescue was accomplished via the Orange County Fire Authority’s Firehawk helicopter.
Authorities warned the public that the rocks along the coast can be slick and unstable.
“Always check in with a lifeguard before venturing near the cliffs or exploring the rocky shore,” the lifeguards stated in the post.
