According to reports, Colorado star quarterback Shedeur Sanders is visiting the Steelers on Thursday.
Sanders has been sliding down draft boards as the big day approaches, and the Steelers might fancy their chances of getting him at No. 21.
Even if they can’t get him that low, they might consider trading up for him if their visit goes well enough.
Sanders will take a top-30 visit with the Steelers after already visiting with the Cleveland Browns and the New York Giants.
It is interesting to note that the Steelers did not meet with Sanders at the NFL Combine.
Head coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Omar Khan also were not in attendance at his pro day.
They notably missed out on a great performance from Sanders, who completed 58 of his 63 passes.
Three of his incompletions were drops by receivers.
The Steelers are doing their homework on Sanders while they continue to kick the rock down the road with Rodgers.
According to NFL reporter Jordan Schultz, the Steelers still hope to make a deal with Rodgers.
“The #Steelers remain very interested in Aaron Rodgers, and the hope is an agreement eventually happens,” he wrote on X.
“But Pittsburgh has done extensive work on this year’s QB class — and Shedeur Sanders is now scheduled to be in the building on Thursday, per source.”
NFL fans aren’t sure what decision the Steelers are gonna make and shared their predictions on social media.
“Steelers would be a brutal landing spot for the Browns fans who are pounding the table for Shedeur,” one fan said.
“Hes 100% falling to Pittsburgh,” another fan said.
“Tell Rodgers to get lost,” a third fan said.
“At this point Rodgers deserves to be rejected by Pittsburgh,” a fourth fan said.
“We don’t want Fraudgers,” a fifth fan said.
