GASTON COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- An accident temporarily shut down Interstate-85 northbound in Gaston County Wednesday morning, according to NCDOT.
The wreck occurred just after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, on I-85 North, near Park Street, in Gaston County. The road was closed one mile after Exit 27.
The expected impact on traffic was high.
NCDOT announced the interstate was closed until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Queen City News has reached out to NC State Highway Patrol for further information.
