HICKORY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Authorities are responding to a plane crash at the Hickory Regional Airport on Tuesday night.
According to Hickory Fire Department, the plane crashed off the side of the runway.
The pilot was transported to a medical facility.
The cause of the crash is unknown, and the runway is closed pending FAA investigation.
