Democrats stepped up when Gabe Evans wouldn’t
Rep. Gabe Evans missed an amazing turnout March 21 at what should have been his town hall. Bernie Sanders and Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez stepped in to fill the void when Evans was too afraid to face his constituents.
It took Democrats to explain the dangerous path the administration is embracing — a path that Evans has been supporting wholeheartedly to the detriment of the voters. It is time for his district to decide if the harm being inflicted throughout the government is enough to vote him out. Gabe Evans took an oath to the Constitution and not to Musk and Trump. It now appears that he is willing to abandon that oath to keep his job.
His constituents deserve a representative who will listen to their concerns and vote to maintain our democracy. An oligarchy is not the answer for the United States of America.

Healthy school meals for all supports kids and families
There are many families struggling right now to put food on the table. I work really hard to provide for my family, but with rising costs mine is one of them. That is why the Healthy School Meals for All program is so important to me. HSMA provides more than 600,000 free meals to students each day. Many of those kids would be hungry and would struggle at school if they did not have this critical support.
Children who receive a meal at school are more likely to be in good health. They visit the nurse less often and have the nutrition they need to focus and perform better academically.
The Healthy School Meals for All doesn’t just help to meet kids’ nutritional needs. It also saves families up to $1,300 per child per year. I know for my family it has made a huge difference.
This program is a smart investment in our kids and our communities. I urge our lawmakers to support Healthy School Meals for All for my family and families throughout our state by passing House Bill 25-1274.
