That’s what Eva Longoria pitched during a recent appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, appearing in a behind-the-scenes video in which she asked the American Idol alum to dive headfirst into the reggaeton genre and cover Bad Bunny.
“I need you to cover Bad Bunny’s ‘WELTiTa,’” the Desperate Housewives star said with a laugh.
“It’s in Spanish, but you can do it,” she continued. “Adding it to your playlist now.”

The collab with Puerto Rican band indie Chuwi is a sweet, mellow love song about spending a day at the beach with a romantic partner that incorporates throwback salsa references with present-day reggaeton and dembow flair.
Though Longoria didn’t specify if she wanted Clarkson to tackle Bad Bunny’s parts or the verses sung by Chuwi frontwoman Lorén Aldarondo, fans on Instagram thought she’d be up for the challenge either way.
“I have faith Kelly can cover any language,” commented one fan as others agreed, suggesting other Spanish-language tracks for her to sing, from Shakira’s 1998 rock anthem “Dónde Están los Ladrones?” to “Tu Falta de Querer,” a ballad by Chilean-Mexican singer Mon Laferte.
This wouldn’t be the first time Texas-born Clarkson tackles songs in Spanish on her show, as she dueted on a Spanish version of Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” with a young mariachi singer, covered the Richie Valens classic “La Bamba,” and wowed native speakers with her pronunciation on a cover of Silvana Estrada’s “Mas o Menos Antes.”
