2025 ISCA International Senior Cup

March 25-30, 2025 North Shore Aquatic Center, St. Petersburg, FL Meet Central Meet Results: “ISCA INTERNATIONAL SENIOR CUP” on Meet Mobile

After several multi-event winners on Wednesday, only one athlete picked up a double win on Thursday, and that was Tide’s Austin Temple. The 16-year-old displayed his speed by sweeping the sprints, first claiming the 50 breast in 26.01 and then later taking the 50 free with a 20.29. The breaststroke time marks a new personal best, while the freestyle sits just tenths away from the NC State commit’s 20.02 lifetime best.

Noah Cakir of Suffolk took the open division of the 50 breaststroke in 24.71. Cakir also posted a second place in the 200 back with a 1:47.62. Williamsburg’s Andy Roose took that event in 1:45.72. The 16-and-under 200 back, meanwhile, went to Tide’s Parker Knapp. Knapp beat his 1:47.03 personal best, going 1:46.84.

The women’s 200 backstroke was dominated by All Star’s Virginia Hinds, who blasted a 1:54.18. This sits in striking distance of the Georgia commit’s 1:53.92 from Winter Juniors. Hinds won the 16-and-under heat, while Blues Aquatics’ Delaney Schwab posted a new 2:01.67 lifetime best to win the open heat.

The women’s 500 freestyle, which combined the 16-and-under and open divisions, ended up being a thrilling race between Quest team mates Emerson Callis and Ally Vernon. Callis got her hand on the wall first, posting a 4:51.16. This was off her best mark of 4:44.67 from Virginia Senior Championships, but still good enough to out-touch Vernon, who went 4:51.37

Though Vernon settled for second, she did walk away with a win in the 50 freestyle, popping  a 23.51. The 16-and-under final of the same event was quicker than the open one, with Delaney O’Toole coming out on top in 23.08. For O’Toole, who represents Pittsburgh Elite, this was within striking distance of her 23.01 best.

Like in the women’s 500, there was also a team mate battle in the women’s 50 breast: Quinn Schurek and Audrey Buchanan of the Cincinnati Marlins. Schurek came out on top in 28.68 ahead of Buchanan’s 29.07.  Tide’s Caprie Moreno captured the open title (29.19).
