(KRON) -- The person pulled out of the ocean at Rodeo Beach in Marin County on Tuesday has been identified. The victim was positively identified as 78-year-old Oakland man Ho Yu Wong, according to the Marin County Sheriff's Office.
Wong was pulled out of the water by nearby bystanders on Tuesday afternoon and was declared dead at the scene at 4:19 p.m. after suffering cardiac arrest, authorities said. He was fishing for mussels on the shoreline of Rodeo Beach when he fell into the water, the sheriff's office said.
Crews from multiple agencies searched the water for about 45 minutes until it ended it searched around 3:30 p.m.
