Gwyneth Paltrow and Meghan Markle found a novel way to put an end to rumors about their “beef.”
The actress and Goop founder took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, March 25 where she often answers questions from her followers, but this time she addressed one question in particular.
“Are you comprehending the Meghan Markle beef that social media says you two have?” one fan asked.
“I genuinely do not understand this at all, whatsoever,” Paltrow responded, but she wasn’t done. She turned to someone off-camera and asked, “Do you understand this?”
At this point, the shocker was revealed.
Her guest at the kitchen table was Markle, who was noshing on a piece of pie and motioned that she didn’t understand the rumored beef either.
This comes after Paltrow’s recent Vanity Fair interview in which she discussed Markle’s recent Netflix show With Love, Meghan.
“I was raised to see other women as friends, not foes,” Paltrow told the outlet. “I think there’s always more than enough to go around. Everybody deserves an attempt at everything that they want to try.”
The supposed beef was over Markle’s move into the lifestyle space that Paltrow is involved in with her Goop brand. In addressing this situation, she said when “there’s noise about certain women in the culture, I do have, always, a strong instinct to stand up for them.”
Paltrow also said that while she’s “met Meghan, who seems really lovely,” she doesn’t “know her at all.”
Perhaps, now that has changed.
