DENVER (KDVR) — Aurora police are investigating a shooting involving officers in the City Center neighborhood Monday morning.
According to an X post from the Aurora Police Department, officers were investigating a "suspicious occurrence" in the 1000 block of S. Elkhart Way at about 3:15 a.m. The area is in a neighborhood south of Settler's Park.
The department said police "contacted" a male and shots were fired by the officers. The male was taken to a local hospital, and no officers were injured.
