A FRUSTRATED driver whose neighbor continually blocked his car after being asked to stop has revealed his final solution to end the feud.
The man was at his wit’s end when he learned the “entitled” reason behind his neighbor’s bad parking job.
The Rhode Island resident first tried leaving a polite note, but when that was ignored, he upped the ante with a firm ultimatum.
“Please park somewhere else. It is very hard to get out. It has been several days. If you park here again I will contact the landlady,” the message read.
The driver, named Jordan, admitted he struggles with confrontation and initially hoped a written request would resolve the issue, Newsweek reported.
But his neighbor, who he believes was dodging a second parking fee by squeezing two cars into one space, ignored the first note completely.
Fed up, Jordan turned to Reddit for advice, where thousands backed him in taking stronger action.
“I’d just call the landlord now and have them towed. That’s ridiculous,” one user wrote.
“Contact the landlady NOW. This person knows what they’re doing and DON’T CARE about you. Why are you being extra nice? You left 1 note, they ignored it, so call the landlady and have it towed,” added another.
Jordan’s case struck a chord online, with his post racking up over 17,000 upvotes.
Taking the advice, Jordan reported the issue to his landlady, who stepped in with a final warning.
“My landlady contacted them and told them if they parked like that again their car would be towed,” he confirmed.
The neighbor has since stopped parking in the spot, bringing an end to the dispute.
Jordan, still stunned it reached that point, said the experience was frustrating.
“Looking back, I can see how entitled this person is,” he said.
He believes bad parking is a common complaint, especially in Rhode Island.
Why is it illegal to block a driveway?
Blocking a driveway is illegal in the United States due to the limiting of access to emergency care.
Aside from being inconsiderate, blocking a driveway is a serious safety hazard, cops say.
Blocking the driveway of someone’s home is illegal in all 50 states, with fines and penalties varying by state.
For instance, blocking a driveway in San Francisco, California can earn a driver a hefty towing $286 fee and a $110 ticket.
That’s not including the feed to retrieve the vehicle from an impound lot, which averages over $600.
In an emergency, a blocked driveway can mean the difference between life and death for a patient.
“In the United States, it is illegal to block a driveway, even your own,” reads Parklio’s website.
“It’s a matter of public safety: emergency services like fire trucks, ambulances, or police cars need that space to get in and out.
“An obstructed driveway might also prevent vehicles from pulling out onto the road to seek emergency services.”

NEIGHBOR ROW
A survey by FindLaw.com found that around four in 10 US adults have had disputes with neighbors, with parking problems ranking among the top 10 issues.
Noise complaints remain the most common, but inconsiderate parking isn’t far behind.
According to Kelly Legal Group, many Americans have a strained relationship with their neighbors, with 42% of homeowners reporting disputes.
While any conflict can be stressful, it becomes even more challenging when it involves a shared property line or wall.
23% of Americans have called the police because of their neighbors, according to LendingTree survey.
But they do find ways to resolve issues, with 49% saying they’ve addressed the problem directly by talking to their neighbor, often the most practical and effective solution.
