Shafaq News/ A senior Yemeni military official denied the existence ofany ceasefire agreements between the Houthis and the United States or Israel,affirming that military operations were escalating amid continued USairstrikes.
“There is no intention or effort to haltfire,” Abed Mohammed, a military adviser at the Houthis-affiliated DefenseMinistry, told Shafaq News in an exclusive interview, pointing out that battleshave “reached their peak,” with the US signaling an escalation by extending thedeployment of the USS Harry S. Truman for another month and considering thedeployment of an additional aircraft carrier.
Mohammed revealed that Yemeni forces had engaged with four aircraftcarriers and forced the deployment of a fifth, pointing to increasing Americanlosses and Yemen’s capability to target US strategic assets in the region.
In a separate interview with Shafaq News, strategic and military expertBrigadier General Yahya Hassan Al-Houthi dismissed any possibility of a truce “unlessour demands are fulfilled.”
Al-Houthi said, “These include an end to aggression against Gaza, thelifting of blockades, and the delivery of humanitarian aid such as food, water,and medicine. We also demand the initiation of reconstruction negotiations.”
