Egypt condemned, on Sunday 23-03-2025, the terrorist attack that targeted a mosque in a village in Niger’s Tillabery region, leaving scores dead and wounded.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry expressed the heartfelt condolences of the Egyptian government and people to the government and people of Niger over the victims of this heinous attack, wishing the wounded speedy recovery.
Egypt reiterated solidarity with brotherly Niger and support of its efforts to face terrorism and achieve security and stability, denouncing all acts targeting places of worship, the statement said.
At least 44 people were killed and 13 others injured in the attack.
