EDITOR’S NOTE: The following is a summary of crime reports taken from the Greeley Police Department’s daily logs. Only a few of the hundreds of reports will be used in this weekly column because of space limitations.
Feb. 28
6:00 a.m.: A caller at a church in the 1900 block of 25th Avenue reported a man that the church has had issues with peeing on the building had returned.
6:00 p.m.: A caller at an unknown address reported that he had called a few minutes ago, but refused to say anything more.
11:00 a.m.: A caller in the 1400 block of 40th Avenue reported she was house sitting and the owners of the house were arrested
March 1
9:00 a.m.: A caller at a ranch supply store in the 300 block of 8th Street reported a small white sedan crashed into some of the store’s product. The driver’s father agreed to pay for the damaged product.
10:00 a.m.: A caller in the 800 block of 27th Avenue reported a dog in her backyard and didn’t know who it belonged to. The caller said it had been in the yard for about an hour and was very friendly.
3:30 p.m.: A caller at a grocery store in the 2100 block of 35th Avenue reported a man pretending to be an employee offered to help her in an attempt to get her social security number.
5:00 p.m.: A caller at 11th Avenue and U.S. Highway 34 reported a homeless man waving a nail gun and pointing it at vehicles.
March 2
1:00 a.m.: A caller in the 1600 block of 9th Avenue reported a neighbor blaring music so loud that it was rattling things on the caller’s walls.
6:00 p.m.: A caller at 31st Street and 23rd Avenue reported a man got hit by a car while riding his bike. The man said he needed paramedics, but then got back on his bike and left while the caller was on the phone.
10:30 p.m.: A caller at an RV park in the 6000 block of 10th Street reported his ex — who had a restraining order against him — showed up, and the caller was worried he would get in trouble for her being there.
11:15 p.m.: A caller at a gas station in the 11700 block of 24th Street reported a bunch of cars playing loud music and revving their engines.
March 3
10:15 a.m.: A caller in the 100 block of 21st Street reported her 18-year-old son was disrespecting her and calling her names. She just wanted officers to tell him she loved him with all her heart but that he needed to listen to her rules in her home.
1:15 p.m.: A caller at Glenmere Park reported a dead raccoon in the lake floating by the fishing spot.
3:00 p.m.: A caller at a fast food restaurant in the 2500 block of 11th Avenue reported a man carrying a broken bow and arrow had threatened an employee before walking down the street and pulling his pants down.
12:30 p.m.: A caller in the 1800 block of Montview Boulevard reported an injured wild turkey in his yard with something wrapped around its leg.
