Emma Raducanu has parted ways with coach Vlado Platenik after just 14 days together.
The former Slovak tennis star spent just two weeks and one match with the 22-year-old.
As reported by The Daily Mail, Platenik joined Raducanu before her Indian Wells first round defeat to Moyuka Uchijima.
However, he has now departed the role and did so ahead of the Brit’s 6-2 6-1 Miami Open victory against Sayaka Ishii on Tuesday.
“Emma and Vlado have parted ways,” a statement from Raducanu’s team said.
“Emma has utmost respect for Vlado and the work they started but it wasn’t quite heading in the right direction.
“Emma is now focused on doing as well as she can here in Miami after her a solid start today and will continue looking for the right coach.”
Platenik joined as coach despite a previous interview in which he called the job as ‘coaching suicide’.
Raducanu is now set to search for the eighth coach of her career.
