(KRON) -- A preliminary 4.2 magnitude earthquake shook in the East Bay Monday evening, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The earthquake's epicenter is located in Dublin.
Minutes later, the earthquake's magnitude was updated to 4.0 by USGS. The epicenter is located about a half mile northwest of Schaefer Ranch Park on Dublin Boulevard.
The time of the quake was 7:46 p.m., according to USGS. It was felt in Martinez, Concord, Oakland and San Francisco.
BART service has been impacted by the earthquake, the agency announced on X. Riders should expect of up to 20 minutes of delays systemwide. Trains will be running at reduced speeds as BART crews conduct safety track inspections.
The depth of the earthquake is 11.7 kilometers or about seven miles.
