On Friday, March 14, Girl Scouts San Diego hosted its annual Cool Women Celebration, honoring five exceptional female leaders for their contributions to education, social impact, entrepreneurship, and law.
More than 550 guests gathered to celebrate Women’s History Month, recognize this year’s Cool Women honorees, and applaud 53 Emerging Leader Girl Scouts in grades 10-12 for their commitment to leadership and service.
Since its inception in 2001, the Cool Women Celebration has honored more than 200 women from San Diego and beyond, recognizing their impact on girls and women in the community. Through mentoring opportunities, networking, and an inspiring program, the event fosters meaningful connections that help advance female leadership across San Diego and Imperial counties.
Proceeds from the celebration directly support dynamic programs designed to empower Girl Scouts from all backgrounds, encouraging them to connect, grow, and make a difference in the world.
“The Cool Women Celebration is a celebration of leadership and community,” said event co-chairs Natasha Bowman and Joyce Gattas. “This event is about inspiring future change-makers and creating a lasting impact in San Diego. It’s a moment to honor the trailblazing women among us while also investing in the future by inspiring young women to lead with purpose and passion.”
