MASON RUDOLPH has re-joined the Pittsburgh Steelers after just one season away.
The 29-year-old quarterback has penned a two-year, $8million deal with the organization.
Rudolph was drafted by the Steelers in 2018 in the third round.
He spent six seasons with Pittsburgh, mostly as backup, before joining the Tennessee Titans last summer.
Rudolph’s time in Tennessee didn’t work out, going 1-4 in his five games as starter after taking over from Will Levis.
He ended the 2024 campaign with 1,450 passing yards, 9 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions for an overall 80.1 passer rating.
Rudolph is now back in the building as Pittsburgh continue to wait out a decision from Aaron Rodgers.
The veteran QB is being sounded out after leaving the New York Jets.
Justin Fields and Russell Wilson have both left the Steelers after a patchy 2024 season.
Fields reached agreement on a two-year contract with the Jets on Monday.
While Wilson is scheduled to meet with the New York Giants on Friday, per ESPN.
Rudolph’s return gives Pittsburgh a strong option at play-caller even if Rodgers’ move falls through.
“He might be their best option at QB1 since they fumbled Justin Fields…” wrote one fan on X.

They also booked a 12th playoff appearance under coach Mike Tomlin.
