A Ukiah man was one of two people recently convicted of drunken driving, the Mendocino County District Attorney’s Office reported.
According to the office of DA David Eyster, Pedro Reynaga Gonzalez, 42, of Ukiah, was found guilty earlier this month by a Mendocino County Superior Court jury of “misdemeanor driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and misdemeanor driving a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol .08 or greater, said driving occurring on Aug. 30, 2024, in the Redwood Valley area. The jury also found true a sentencing allegation that the defendant’s blood alcohol was .15 or greater at the time of driving. The evidence presented through witnesses at trial was that the defendant had a blood alcohol concentration of .21.”
Also this month, Eyster reported that Nicholas Sean Nellen, 33, of Laytonville, was found guilty by another jury in Mendocino County Superior Court of “misdemeanor driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and misdemeanor driving a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol .08 or greater, said driving occurring on Sept. 12, 2024, on Spyrock Road north of Laytonville.”
