AARON Rodgers has woken up without an NFL occupation for the first time in his legendary 20-year career.
The New York Jets released the 41-year-old star quarterback in a much-anticipated move.
Rodgers’s release was official at the start of the new league year on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. Eastern.
The Jets revealed their intentions to release the four-time NFL MVP a month ago and don’t plan to announce the procedural move, per ESPN’s Rich Cimini.
Rodgers can now sign with any team, including the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants, who have reportedly expressed the most interest in him.
