DENVER (KDVR) -- Eight people were transported to hospitals and two others were evaluated after an apparent explosion at an assisted living center Wednesday in southeast Denver, the Denver Fire Department reported.

The fire department initially said Wednesday morning on X they were responding to a structure fire near East Harvard Avenue and South Quebec Street. They then said crews confirmed a transformer was on fire, but the fire was not extending to any buildings.
