DENVER (KDVR) — A suspect is in custody after a reported shooting with a deputy in Fort Collins, according to the Larimer County Sheriff's Office.
According to the sheriff's office, the shooting took place at about 2 p.m. in Edora Park after two deputies tried to stop an off-road motorcycle for traffic violations in Fort Collins. The adult male rider reportedly refused to stop and drove onto the bike path in Edora Park.
Riffenburgh Elementary School is located on the edge of the park.
The deputies, who were on agency motorcycles, pursued him into the park where the suspect allegedly got off his motorcycle and exchanged gunfire with the deputies.

Law enforcement officers said they provided first aid until the suspect was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. A deputy was shot during the incident, the sheriff's office said, and he was transported to an area hospital where he is recovering.
The 8th Judicial District Critical Incident Response Team has been activated to investigate the officer-involved shooting. The Loveland Police Department is the lead investigating agency, according to the Larimer County Sheriff's Office.
