The body of a 33-year-old Thornton woman reported missing last month was found in a Montana river on Sunday, police said.

Police officers in Montana responded Sunday to reports of a body in Clark Fork River near Beartracks Bridge, according to a news release from the Missoula Police Department. Coroner officials identified the body as Danit Ehrlich, who was reported missing in February.

Ehrlich and her dog, Bamba, were reported missing on Feb. 22. Just four days later, they were already presumed drowned by Missoula officials who said the river was dangerous because of “ice, swift currents and unpredictable terrain.”

Police said Bamba’s body has not been recovered.

The 33-year-old woman was on her way to Tacoma, Washington for a travel nursing position when she was reported missing. Her three-month assignment was slated to start in March.
