(KRON) – A firearm with an altered serial number and a large jar of marijuana were found in an Oakland traffic stop, according to California Highway Patrol.
CHP officers pulled over a brown Buick traveling northbound on Interstate 880 near High Street with expired registration tabs. According to authorities, officers noticed a black revolver against the driver’s chest.
Officers arrested the suspect upon viewing the gun. Police said they also located a jar of marijuana.
The driver was booked into Santa Rita Jail on multiple charges, including possession of a loaded firearm by a non-registered person, possession of an altered serial firearm, and possession of marijuana.
